Climate Collective conducts India’s first Solar Hackathon.
After many years in the renewable energy space,
we realized that we need to do more. And quickly!
The Beginning
Having been entrepreneurs for a long time ourselves, we noticed that the world, and especially the Global South,
needs tens of thousand of climate entrepreneurs, to come up and push this world faster towards sustainability.
But we needed to come together, to work together if we had a chance to succeed.
And thus was born the idea of the Climate Collective!

Today Climate Collective is a dynamic team of nearly 40 driven individuals, who daily build platforms that support climate tech entrepreneurs in the early perilous stages of the startup journey.

Our Mission
To extend the Climate Collective ecosystem model and platforms to every country in the Global South by 2025, supporting at least 1500 early-stage climate tech startups every year by then.

Realising the need for focused and strategic support , we launch our first cleantech accelerator, “ClimateLaunchpad”, in Maharashtra, India.
The Roots Spread
The program grows to 4 more states and Sri Lanka in 2018.

Climate Collective builds follow-on accelerators (Runway, Electron Vibe, Takeoff) and pre-accelerators (Climate Ready) and by 2019, boards over 470+ cleantech startups of India and South Asia.

We begin developing platforms around funding (Climate Seeds, Climate Tech Investment Network, etc), education (Climate Startup School), policy research, and community activities (Climate Startup Week, Mosambi, etc).
