With an aim to provide a platform for the technology startups introducing new innovation in the electrical and electronics industry, the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association, as part of the 15th edition of its annual event ELECRAMA, is conducting a challenge to recognize top 12 climate tech startups in the field of

This challenge is for the startups who have technology
solutions in one of the following domains
Electric Vehicles, Fleet Management, Clean Heavy Transport, etc.
Intelligent battery, Smart charging services such as energy and power flow management systems that allow for optimal EV charging, ICT systems, intelligent charging infrastructure or advanced algorithms for local integration with distributed energy sources, etc.
Vehicle-to-everything extends the idea to include different use cases and destinations for power drawn from EVs, such as vehicle-to-grid (V2G), vehicle-to-home (V2H), vehicle-to-building (V2B), etc. Solutions enabled by AI/ML, Big Data, etc. are encouraged.
Solutions could include fintech innovations for the EV industry, Credit supply solutions for potential buyers, digital payment solutions, business models for early adoption of EVs, fintech supporting EV ecosystem, etc.
Solutions like Green Hydrogen Production, Blue Hydrogen Production, Advanced electrolysis, Stationary Fuel Cells, Fuel Cell propulsion, Hydrogen Storage and Transport.
Solutions could include innovation in CO2 capture, storage and effective use of the high concentrations of CO₂ emitted by industrial activities.
Solutions that can enhance transmission and/or distribution grid efficiencies, utilization and/or planning including (but not limited to) energy storage
Scalable low/no carbon energy innovations (waste heat recovery, geothermal, heat pumps, micro hydro, etc.)
Products and solutions that can bring about a massive reduction in cooling demand
Products that enable ultra-high efficiencies in unitary and/or centralized cooling applications
IOT & AI solutions to optimize design and/or operational efficiency of cooling systems
Other scalable solutions or models to reduce the GHG impact of cooling {cooling as a service, district cooling, etc.}
Each of the top 12 will receive a cash prize

Electraverse Sparks Awards is an award hosted by IEEMA and partner organizations to recognize the technology startups introducing new innovation in the electricals and electronics industry. This award is recognized by all members of IEEMA such as Siemens Ltd., Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd., Panasonic India Pvt Ltd and many more! The award will be hosted at ELECRAMA 2023.
We are looking for startups who have fully functional product in market. The startups who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply –
Startups not meeting this criterion can still apply. Their merit will be assessed on case-to-case basis.
The top 3 startups will be awarded with Electraverse Sparks Award at ELECRAMA 2023. The top 3 winners will get the following cash prize –
– Rs. 10 lakhs (1st Winner)
– Rs. 5 Lakhs (2nd Winner)
– Rs. 5 Lakhs (3rd Winner)
The top 12 startups will get an opportunity to showcase their products at ELECRAMA 2023. The remaining 9 startups will also get Rs. 1 lakh in prize money.

The startup should either be incorporated in India or should have market presence in India.
We are looking for growing startups who have a fully functioning product. If your startup is functional for less than 3 years, we will evaluate its eligibility on the basis of the stage of your product.
We are looking to give a platform to the growth stage startups and not to the established corporates. Preference will be given to the startups functioning for 3 to 10 years. Eligibility of other cases will be evaluated on a case-to-case basis.
We are looking for ground breaking technological innovations. If your startup has developed cutting edge technology, we will consider its eligibility on a case-to-case basis. However, if your startup deploys an existing technology in an innovative way, we expect the product to be fully functional when you come for the showcase.
The startup should have raised more than Rs. 1 Cr in funding since incorporation, with a preference for those startups that have raised a minimum of Rs. 3 Cr.

Any IP that is developed prior to or during the program remains the sole property of the applicant team (or team members, as the case may be). If you feel any information is sensitive or confidential, we recommend NOT sharing the same during the application process. We seek no rights over IP, nor represent to facilitate any assistance in any IP-related for any engagements or opportunities.
The eligible startups will be shortlisted based on application on the basis of technology potential, business opportunity, strength of founding team, and climate impact potential.
For the selected startup we’ll do a due diligence check to verify incorporation certificate, evidence of product development, evidence of fundraising, details of past fundraising etc.
The selected startups will be notified by 1st week of February.
